As a native Californian, we get our share of orange streaks of California Poppies in the early Spring, but when we get a lot of rain durning a Winter, we enjoy Superblooms and the So Cal hillsides are wrapped in flowing bands of purples and yellows in addition to the glowing oranges! I painted one version of this and then wanted to paint it in a more graphic manner for this second version.
