30×40” acrylic painting on thin canvas.
We are surrounded by Bougainvilleas in the So Cal desert, and they bloom all throughout the year, adding brilliant colors in landscape that is not always the most lush. I just love the tissue-thin blooms which are really more like hot pink leaves than flowers, even though the wind blows them off and they are scattered by the wind all over our yard and into our pool! I painted this in a clean, crisp graphic style to capture their bold beauty.
Original painting for sale for $1500. Please contact Carolyn.
